Life on the Prairie |

North Dakota and outdoor sports go hand-in-hand.
Here my husband and our two bird dogs are getting ready to hunt the wily
pheasant rooster. I hunt, too, and enjoy getting out just as much, if
not more, than the actual hunting. The wildlife is amazing around
here. |

After a successful hunt, my husband and the French
Brittanys proudly pose with their booty. Note the background--yes,
there are hills in North Dakota. :-) |

You can see that our 'outdoor' cats enjoy spending time
inside indulging in their favorite pastime--napping. The Siamese is
named Shaman and is the mother of Marco Polo and Jack. |

This is the only male cat in the bunch. Coalie
likes to exert his independence and takes great pleasure in getting into
places he's not supposed to be. |

This is our older French Brittany named Paige. Her
favorite thing after hunting is curling up on the futon with its pheasant
tapestry so she can continue chasing roosters in her dreams. |

Despite our younger French Brittany's hip problems, she
loves to hunt. Autumn learned early what pillows are for, and she
takes advantage of it after a strenuous workout. |

These are my fellow Wyrd Sisters, who gave me a going away Victorian Tea
Party when I left Colorado. We had a blast pretending to be ladies <g>
